You all know that I like to share beautiful things and feelings, and help everyone. That is why this article has touched me so deeply, from my friend the Cuban singer-songwriter living in Miami, Rafa Carballo.
The words of my friend Rafa are so true, because after God, NO ONE in this world loves us more than our good parents, in the vast majority of cases. Some children forget this, and do not worry about their parents... and when they are missing, not only will they feel the emptiness they leave behind, no matter how good children we have been, but along with the emptiness, those who were ungrateful and indifferent, will feel remorse.
Rafa Carballo's father: Rafael Carballo, was also a singer, he even participated in a charity concert in 2014, for my sick, bedridden daughter Sandra, who has since passed away. That concert was organized by also singer Anthony el Angel Trovador, and producer Deborah Luna.

RAFA CARBALLO:
THE ABSENCE OF YOUR PARENTS.
As long as your parents live, you will never be truly alone. It doesn't
matter how much you stumble in life, how many times the world closes the door
on you, or how many times you feel like you don't fit anywhere. As long as they
are there, there will always be a place waiting for you, a table with a plate
served, a bed to rest on, open arms that do not ask, only welcome.
In your parents' house, titles or victories do not matter, nor if life has treated you harshly. You can arrive with empty pockets or with a broken soul, with tired eyes or a dejected heart, but they will only see the child that one day they held in their arms, the son they love without conditions, without buts, without demands.
You will be well received even if the world has turned its back on you. You will be loved no matter how many times you have made mistakes. There are no judgments there, only love. Because the parental home is not made of bricks or walls, it is a refuge built with memories, sacrifices and unconditional love.
As long as they live, there will always be a piece of bread to share, a warm conversation at the end of the day, a voice that tells you: No matter what happens, you will always be welcome here. Because in your parents' house, a son is not only the one who is born, but the one who is loved forever.
But one day, without warning or without you being prepared, that home will go out. And when they are gone, you will not only have lost a home to return to, but the only people in the world who truly loved you, with absolute love, without reservation, without expecting anything in return.
That day you will understand that their hug was the last safe place, that their love was the only unconditional love, and that there will no longer be anyone who awaits your return with the same emotion. Then, in the midst of the silence, you will discover that home was not a place, but them. And that without them, the world will feel colder, bigger, more alien.
So while you still have them, come home. Tell them how much you love them. Listen to their stories even if you already know them by heart. Share that piece of bread and let their love surround you. Because one day, when their absence is the only one that fills the space, you will give everything to hear their voices again telling you: WELCOME HOME, SON!!
